Napoleon

Bonaparte

1769 — 1821

Napoleon Bonaparte was a military and political leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution. Born on the island of Corsica, he quickly climbed the ranks of the French military, displaying exceptional strategic and leadership abilities. In 1799, he staged a coup d'état and became First Consul of France, effectively consolidating power and establishing himself as the de facto ruler.

Napoleon implemented reforms, including the Napoleonic Code, and was known for his military prowess. However, his ambitious campaigns ultimately led to his downfall, and he was exiled twice before his death. His legacy is marked by both admiration for his achievements and criticism for his autocratic rule and the human costs of his wars.
